Protecting volunteers

Violence, harassment, abuse of power, influence and discrimination is prohibited.

Once these terms and conditions are accepted, the hosting entities(i.e. companies, institutions and organizations registered on this website) have an obligation to provide an environment free from violence, harassment, abuse of power, influence and discrimination. Volunteers are to be treated with dignity, courtesy and respect. The partner confirms that he/she has applicable regulations and policies to ensure:

       Intolerance of any form of violence against volunteer staff, such as physical, sexual, psychological and verbal abuse.

       Absolute intolerance of any form of harassment of volunteers by their staff, such as harassment for power and sexual harassment.

       Intolerance of any form of abuse of power and influence against volunteers by their employees (e.g. a personal request such as money or sexual relationship from the volunteer for a job offer).

       There is no discrimination in the voluntary relationship related to age, race, color, sex, gender identity, political opinion, religion, disability, nationality, economic status, marital status or family background.

       Fair selection of volunteers during volunteering and fair treatment at all times.

By accepting these terms and conditions, the partner is committed to providing a safe working environment and not engaging in child labor.

The partner shall ensure that volunteers under the age of 18 are not involved in the following actions that could be harmful to them mentally, physically, socially or morally:

Attempts to intervene in their education by:

       Denying them the opportunity to go to school.

       Requiring them to leave school prematurely.

       Requiring them to try to combine school attendance and intense work for long hours.

       The partner ensures that volunteers are protected from work that exposes them to hazardous materials, heavy machinery, health and safety hazards.
