Join us on a critical mission to combat forest fires through proactive awareness and community engagement. Your mission consists of creating impactful awareness signs on a daily or weekly basis to help prevent forest fires.
As a volunteer, your journey begins by downloading the 'Fire Patrol' mobile application. This app includes the essential 'Firelab' tool, which you'll use to monitor daily wildfire risks. Armed with this data, you will then dedicate about two hours each day to designing and distributing digital signs that highlight the importance of fire safety and forest conservation. These signs are crucial during the wildfire season, serving as a example of knowledge and prevention in areas most at risk.
Upon joining our mission, you will receive comprehensive online training in forest fire prevention and awareness, ensuring you are well-prepared to make a meaningful impact.
Additionally, you will gain insights into the effective use of the Fire Patrol app to maximize your contributions.
The mission will last for 4 months, and every month brings a new theme, guiding you to tailor your awareness signs to reflect the most relevant and urgent messages based on the latest data.
Support and collaboration are key to our success. You will be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group, where you'll be posting your developed signs. This platform also serves as a space for continuous support and coordination among volunteers.
Your hard work and creativity won’t go unnoticed. Outstanding designs will be showcased on the social media channels of LRI (Lebanon Reforestation Initiative) and TOUCH, highlighting your contribution to a larger audience.
This volunteering opportunity is more than just a mission; it’s a chance to protect our forests and become a pivotal part of a community dedicated to making a difference. Join us and use your time and talents to help safeguard the environment for future generations

Accepted applicants will be added to a WhatsApp group where further details and information concerning the work delivery and timings of the trainings. Training on how to use the Fire Patrol application and session on wildfires will be delivered online for the volunteers. At the beginning of each month during the fire season a theme will be launched (there are 4 themes). At the end of each month, awareness signs under the adopted theme should be prepared by the volunteers and delivered. Outstanding work will be shared on social media.
