During Preparedness Day, volunteers will acquire a variety of essential skills necessary for forest conservation and fire prevention. First, they will learn how to effectively create and maintain firebreaks, which are vital for controlling the spread of wildfires. Second, participants will gain hands-on experience in identifying and removing flammable materials from the forest floor, enhancing their understanding of fire hazards. Additionally, they will be trained on the proper use of forestry tools and techniques for sustainable forest management. Finally, the day will also provide insights into emergency response strategies, preparing volunteers to act quickly and effectively in the event of a fire outbreak, thereby significantly contributing to the safety and resilience of their communities.
For this event, participants should wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities and a hat for sun protection. It is essential to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to come with a good mood and a positive attitude to help create a cooperative and enjoyable atmosphere during the activities.
