During the preparedness day, volunteers will acquire a variety of essential skills necessary for forest preservation and fire prevention. First, they will learn how to effectively create and maintain firebreaks, which are crucial for controlling the spread of wildfires. Second, participants will gain hands-on experience in identifying and removing flammable materials from the forest floor, enhancing their understanding of fire risks. Additionally, they will be trained in the proper use of forestry tools and techniques for sustainable forest management. Finally, the day will also provide insights into emergency response strategies, preparing volunteers to act quickly and efficiently in the event of a fire outbreak, significantly contributing to the safety and resilience of their communities.

Here is the detailed plan for Saturday, June 22, 2024: • 8:00 AM - 8:15 AM: Gathering and registration of volunteers at the designated site. • 8:15 AM - 8:30 AM: Transition to the work site. • 8:30 AM - 8:45 AM: Arrival at the site, followed by a briefing session. • 8:45 AM - 9:00 AM: Distribution of tools and assignment of tasks. • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Volunteers engage in fire prevention and forest conservation activities. • 12:00 PM: Evaluation session to discuss the day's accomplishments and return.
