We are looking for enthusiastic and committed young volunteers aged 18-35 to join the Waste Management and Recycling Initiative in partnership with Live Love Recycle. This initiative focuses on improving the environment of shelter venues by promoting sustainable waste management practices.
As a volunteer, you will be directly involved in sorting recyclables, educating shelter residents about the importance of recycling, and assisting with transporting recyclables to designated centres. Your efforts will be vital in reducing waste, fostering environmental sustainability, and enhancing living conditions for displaced communities.

The Waste Management and Recycling Initiative will be implemented over a month. It will commence with an orientation session for volunteers and be followed by biweekly training workshops on waste management practices, sorting techniques, and community engagement strategies. Volunteers will be assigned specific tasks, such as sorting recyclables and conducting educational sessions, with outlined timelines for each activity. We will provide snacks during training sessions to support our volunteers. Regular feedback and mentorship will ensure a meaningful experience while fostering professional development in community engagement and environmental sustainability.
