Learn various waste management strategies, including sorting, recycling, and composting. Gain an understanding of the impact of waste on the environment and the importance of sustainable practices in reducing pollution. Learn how to effectively communicate with community members and educate them about recycling and sustainability. Understand the processes related to recycling, including the types of materials that can be recycled and how to prepare them for recycling. Learn about the challenges faced by displaced communities in relation to waste management and living conditions. Develop practical skills in sorting recyclable materials and understanding material categories.
The Waste Management and Recycling Initiative will be implemented over one month. It will begin with an orientation session for volunteers and bi-weekly training workshops on waste management practices, sorting techniques, and community engagement strategies. Volunteers will be assigned specific tasks, such as sorting recyclable materials and conducting educational sessions, with schedules set for each activity. We will provide snacks during the training sessions to support our volunteers. Regular feedback and guidance will also be provided to ensure a meaningful experience and to enhance professional development in community outreach and environmental sustainability.
