1) Experience in Crisis Relief: participants will gain firsthand experience in working during times of crisis, enhancing their ability to respond effectively to urgent needs and develop resilience in challenging situations. 2) Personal Fulfillment: Making a positive impact on the lives of elderly individuals can provide a deep sense of satisfaction and purpose. 3) Skill Development: participants can develop valuable skills in communication, caregiving, and teamwork, enhancing their interpersonal abilities. 4) Awareness of Social Issues: This experience can deepen understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable populations, fostering a greater sense of social responsibility.
Participants are required to assist in various areas, including but not limited to: 1)Nutrition: Assisting the kitchen team during breakfast and lunch for patients by three volunteers, as well as other tasks as directed by the head of the kitchen department. Helping the nursing staff distribute food to patients and assisting them during their meals. Transporting meals from the floors to the kitchen. 2) Companionship for the Elderly: Aimed at alleviating their feelings of fear due to the war and the daily atmosphere they experience. 3) Disinfection and Cleaning of Patient Supplies: Aimed at ensuring a clean and safe environment. 4) Assistance: Responding to calls to cover the basic services needed by patients.
This opportunity will focus on providing the necessary assistance to the patients at Dar Al Aajaza Hospital. The work will be divided into different areas: nutrition, helping in the kitchen, psychological support, and other forms of assistance. Volunteer tasks will be assigned according to the needs of the day. The opportunity will be available five days a week (Monday to Thursday).
