Sustainable Development Goals

Opportunity requirements
Explain the solution offered by the opportunity and how it will address the challenges mentioned in the previous section.

Volunteers must be committed and willing to learn, as well as share the health knowledge and experiences they gain with the community. A positive attitude and enthusiasm are essential for the success of these activities.

Volunteering Opportunity Plan
It includes an explanation of the activities and steps necessary to implement the opportunity, with an explanation of the time periods and costs for each activity and for the entire opportunity, as providing this information accurately reflects the professionalism of those in charge of the opportunity and their experience in the field of community work.

The volunteers will receive training on the relevant health topics through an online session facilitated by Anera. This training will equip them with the necessary knowledge to deliver health education sessions on hygiene practices, cholera prevention, scabies management, and head lice management. Volunteers will adopt interactive teaching methods, incorporating demonstrations, discussions, and Q&A sessions to engage participants actively. Each volunteer will be responsible for conducting at least one session on each topic in every collective shelter, resulting in a total of three days of activities to cover all topics. In addition to delivering the health education sessions, the volunteers will also take part in recreational activities, such as organizing games and group exercises, to build trust with the participants and foster a relaxed atmosphere.
